That matters because a lot of these doors are original equipment on hardware nobody stocks anymore - torsion springs sized for a door that doesn't match what the big box stores sell now. We diagnose before we quote, because a door that looks dead is sometimes a $40 part and a door that sounds fine is sometimes a spring about to let go. The mild temperate climate out here means we're not fighting frozen tracks or ice-jammed openers the way a shop in a colder region would, but the hardware still wears out on its own schedule, year-round sun and all. What we don't do: new construction framing, gate systems, or anything that isn't the garage door and its moving parts. If that's what you need, we'll say so up front instead of taking the job anyway.

Yes. A lot of the homes we service were built between 1956 and 1997, and plenty still run original torsion hardware. We carry parts for that era, though some older or less common sizes may need to be ordered in, which we'll flag before starting the job.
